MESSAGE FROM THE TREASURER
The name of our SACCO immediately strikes one’s mind to the direction of our background. We are Christian based.
Our slogan “A shilling saved is a shilling earned” is reflective of our humble beginnings. According to The Word of God in Zechariah 4:10(NLT) “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin . . .”
We have remained determined to grow steadily keeping in mind the words in the first part of Luke 16:10 (NIV). 10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much,. . .”
Having been entrusted with little and in the belief to grow to be entrusted with much, we are guided by the word ‘serve’. In order to give the best service, our management team believes in the power of synergy and with the leadership of the Chairman each member in the team is assigned with tasks to do ‘what they do best’.
Secure and grow
In the area of members’ savings we have put strong internal control systems in place to ensure that members’ savings are secure and any possibility of losses mitigated. We keep enhancing these systems as we grow in order to cover any exposure that come with growth.
Funds not distributed as loans to members are invested in most secure and high interest earning institutions.
Further to continuous internal audit procedures carried out in our society, annual financial reports are audited on time to ensure that members get the opportunity to understand the position of their investment and receive the interest earned at the earliest time.
Our energy is now focused to the investment Company which will ensure that members’ earnings from the SACCO are re-directed to larger and higher earnings investments!
